OPEN ENROLLMENT AND CHANGES TO MEDICARE PART D

The 2025 Open Enrollment period runs from October 15, 2024-December 7, 2024.

The Inflation Reduction Act passed in 2022 made several changes to the program that can benefit older Americans. Some have already been implemented, but others, including the Prescription Payment Plan, will take effect in 2025.

NANASP held a webinar to provide an overview of the changes that Medicare enrollees need to be aware of and a comprehensive guide to the new payment plan – which will allow beneficiaries to spread the costs of their prescription drugs over the course of the year. The webinar is available on the education page of the site and can be streamed in its entirety.

Below, you'll find resources and printables on these upcoming changes that can be used for helping senior clients choose the plan that best fits their needs.
